A SPACE FOR FACULTY
georges jad
The project proposes a multi-use space for faculty prioritizing their well-being. The space expands between two main opposite accesses with a central core, united yet fragmented. The central unit serves the entire space, with a kitchenette, break area, library, storage, and sleeping pods on the mezzanine. Scattered partitions act as supports for functions and furniture rather than spatial separations, maintaining fluidity and unity in the overall design. The spirit of lightness is also conveyed through modular furniture spread throughout on the first level, whereas on the mezzanine, the sleeping pods, open yet private, are cantilevered, floating in the space.
