BRIDGING GENERATIONS, BUILDING COMMUNITY

Abdel Wahab El Inglizi street in Achrafieh currently suffers from a lack of vibrancy, It feels lifeless in the absence of gatherings, events, and festivals. This project aims to revitalize the community by introducing a U-shaped Plaza seamlessly integrated on the ground floor. Acting as an inviting focal point, it guides pedestrian traffic and fosters a sense of connection among residents. The plaza serves as a hub for social activities with an integrated community center and an elderly housing unit above providing a quieter and more private living environment. The design extends the plaza concept vertically through all floors, creating a unifying element that connects the exterior to the interior. In the community center, mezzanines and open stairs enhance connectivity, while the elderly housing features a glass corridor ensuring constant connection visually and physically. The project envisions a cohesive and engaging space, bridging generations and building a strong community on Abdel Wahab El Inglizi street.
