Learn & Sea – Interactive Learning Center for children

In Lebanon, children are generally not well aware about the importance of natural
resources and sustainable systems that have a lower impact on our environment, and how to be a participating component in living more responsibly on this planet with all the major dramatic changes occurring lately.
A sustainable lifestyle that our country could easily start adopting due to the fact that it is a coastal country and has a major littoral accessibility to water and exposure to sunlight most of the year.
Children should learn at an early age how to protect, use and respect their environment.
Following the history of our site and its entourage being on a sea shore, and how Lebanon’s situation has affected children’s lives and education, as well as the low level of awareness about natural resources that are not a major part of our daily education, I was inspired to design an interactive learning center for children between 6 and 12 years old to learn more about these resources and sustainability while having fun and to maximize their awareness on marine life.
Lebanon, being a coastal country, has many rivers, merging land and water. In my project, I want to create the same idea by blurring the limits between indoors and outdoors.
