THE BRIDGE

The Lebanese crisis of 2019 had a profound impact on Lebanon’s economy and society. Today, three years later, the younger generation who chose to remain in the country seeks affordable housing, employment opportunities, personal growth, and social interaction. Escalating tuition fees in private educational institutions and the deteriorating public sector education system have left many students unable to pursue education and secure stable jobs in the digital realm they aspire to. This project aims to bridge the gap between startups or companies in need of fresh talent and struggling youth, providing equal opportunities in the digital world while allowing for future development for both parties.
After thorough research, the project’s strategy emerged: an open-ended bridge-like structure that challenges the modernist context both physically and culturally. It deviates from regular geometry, offering glimpses of the surrounding environment from within the building or as people drive past it on the highway, creating moments of connections and perspectives.
