Thousands* of Syrian and Palestinian refugees live in a state of permanent temporality; uneasy towards the defeating load that accompanies calling camps their home. Aiming to restore their sense of belonging to a place, a community, and a feeling of security. A social housing project is proposed to create a safe space for those refugees and break the stigma that follows their camps and communities. For that, the design of the project recognizes in detail architectural design strategies that develop social interaction between refugees. These strategies focus on hidden utilities, functions, and moments within “In-Between Spaces”, as a way to developed multiple social relations between places and forms with users. The spatial design layout has developed a vision that will improve socialization through daily activities while being based on the mutual cultural and social concept of “khabaya” In particular, this modular system is composed of three different spaces; public, semi-public and private spaces.
