FEELING GOOD

The idea of tactile materials and surfaces is used in architecture, such as in mud baths, to stimulate the senses and foster a closer relationship between people and their constructed environment. Mud baths are a good illustration of this idea since they provide a certain tactile sensation that can promote feelings of comfort, relaxation, and renewal. Creating a sensory experience that extends beyond purely aesthetic considerations is the goal of the idea of experiencing textures in architecture. It focuses on involving the Sonsbeek sense of touch and strengthening the bond between the individual and the built environment. I took the walls of the Pavilion and started to elaborate them in my design for it to look out like this. In addition through every curve I added something like a changing room and a mud bath, where the mud bath area contains locker rooms, showers and a ladder that leads you up into a mattress bed where its exposed to flickering lights, moreover, there are tanning beds and products that are exposed to the street area to advertise the products of the spa so that people can come in and buy them from the vending machines that are next to the garden. Its thoughtful design and harmonious integration with the natural environment provide a feel good space that nourishes the mind, body, and soul.
