The project identifies the division triggers and residents’ needs within Bachoura, following people’s activity layers within the area. The strategy to tackle these issues consists of an additional network of activities on an urban scale through three main functions, a sports academy complex, which is the focus, a cultural center, and a vocational school in three different locations, fulfilling the needs of a modern residential area to ensure its growth, maintain its security, and bridge the gap between Bachoura and its surroundings socially and physically.
The Sports complex in its design concept is an attempt to solve fundamental ideologies by critiquing oneself, through an inverted perspective, trying to work on the internal connections and spatial relationships to confront gentrification, get the most value out of the area, and allow homogenous gathering facilities for a diversity of visitors.
