In light of Batroun’s recent emergence as a prominent tourist destination, we have strategically selected this locale as the focal point for our students’ work, a contemporary building nestled within the historic core of Batroun’s old town.
The project unfolds through a meticulous sequence of activities, commencing with an on-site visit and architectural survey. During this phase, students acquire important skills in surveying existing structures, encompassing the examination of floor plans, sections, windows, and related architectural elements.
Each student’s creative talents are harnessed towards the conceptualization of a distinct shop type, ranging from flower shops to wine boutiques and souvenir stores. These diverse enterprises are envisioned to augment the cultural and historical richness of the area.
