fatima khatib
Historical layering, a concept both philosophical and architectural, unveils the profound interplay between time and built environments. In architecture, this idea finds expression through stratification, where each layer represents a distinct epoch in the structure’s history.
These layers are like chapters in the story of a building, etching the collective memory of our society onto its physical form. This project embodies the rich history of anfeh by offering spaces where the past and present coexist harmoniously. These spaces, through their design, become a bridge between different eras and cultures that crossed anfeh. As we navigate in the spaces of this museum we move through time and memory, encountering various layers of human experience. in essence, It guide us toward the strata of history while envisioning spaces history and contemporary interest, fostering a deeper connection between ourselves and the world we inhabit.
