CROSS OVER

The concept, “Crossover” is to challenge the preconceived notions associated with elderly homes. Instead of perceiving it as an ending or a place of decline, the aim is to create an environment that supports and empowers the elderly to embrace a new phase in their lives. This approach recognizes the potential for growth, engagement, and fulfillment in their later years. By integrating the natural environment and thoughtful design elements, “Cross Over” seeks to create an atmosphere that promotes a sense of dignity and well-being for the elderly residents. It aims to provide them with a space where they can thrive, engage in meaningful activities, and form connections with others, fostering a positive and fulfilling living experience. Considering the site constraints and the physical disabilities of the users, the architecture of “Cross Over” is designed to be environmentally friendly and responsive to its surroundings. It takes into account factors such as the surrounding buildings, site topography, and orientation. The design also prioritizes an open and unobstructed view towards the east, which not only minimizes the building’s impact on nature but also enhances the elderly’s user experience.
