The project focuses on blending the two sides of Ecochard’s highway plan to eliminate the visual separation (urban void) between the two sides and leave a trace of Ecochard that was in the past and now belongs to history. The proposed program focuses on transforming Ecochard from a highway to a smart corridor based on artificial intelligence technology.
The 1 km “Smart Corridor” that covers Zalka includes five zones: Artificial Intelligence Technology Center, Residential, Agricultural, Industrial, and Business. The project development concentrates on the most critical area of Zalka and spreads over a vast area of green spaces, with playgrounds, walkways, bicycle lanes, ramps, and underground parking. In other words, it is an intelligent corridor where the latest technologies will be implemented with renewable energy and sustainable construction methods.
The “Smart Corridor” project will benefit Zalka’s community by creating a pleasant green environment, providing job opportunities for the residents, repurposing misused spaces, and maintaining the tradition of Zalka.
